Château Réaut is a winegrowing estate in Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux, owned by 700 co-owners and renowned for its innovative cellar and wines aged in oak barrels and amphorae. It produces several cuvées, including a no-added-sulphite wine and single-varietal expressions.

Identity
Château Réaut is situated in the commune of Rions, in Gironde. It is owned by a group of wine-enthusiast friends from Bordeaux and Bourgogne, alongside nearly 700 individual co-owners from 26 different countries. Yannick Evenou is a key figure at the estate.
History and philosophy
Château Réaut was acquired in 2012 by a group of friends, backed by numerous individual co-owners, taking over from Champagnes Roederer. In 2018, a new cellar was built. The property is certified by the Vignobles et Découvertes label and was awarded a Best Of d'Or in 2023 in the On-Site Dining category.

Winemaking and ageing
The estate uses a vat room equipped with inverted truncated conical vats for vinification. Wine ageing takes place in a dedicated barrel and amphora cellar. Ageing periods vary depending on the cuvée, ranging from 16 to 18 months in barrels for Château Réaut, to 24 months in new oak barrels for Carat de Réaut, alongside amphora ageing for other cuvées such as Villa Réaut Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Practical information
Château Réaut is located at 14 Thibeau ouest, 33410 Rions. The estate is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm. Tours and tastings are available by prior arrangement. A "Privilege Tour" of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, including an introduction to the history, facilities and a tasting of 4 cuvées, is available for €12.00 per adult (€10.00 concession). A 3-kilometre "Walking Tour" through the vineyards with audio commentary and a tasting of 4 wines is also available for €15.00 per adult (€12.00 concession), lasting around 1 hour 30 minutes of walking and 45 minutes of tour and tasting. Visits are free for children under 18. The estate accommodates groups of up to 100 people and offers amenities such as a shop, games area and Wi-Fi. Payments can be made by card and cash. This cuvée is 100% Merlot, aged for 24 months in new, extra fine-grained oak barrels. It delivers remarkable structure and aromatic intensity.
Blanc de Réaut
Made from 100% Sauvignon, this cuvée is entirely vinified in oak barrels, bestowing complexity and roundness.

This rosé is produced via direct pressing.

Portes ouvertes Maison des Vins 2026 | Ville de Cadillac sur Garonne
La 31ème édition des Journées Portes Ouvertes de la Région des Premières Côtes de Bordeaux se tiendra les 6 et 7 juin 2026, de 10h à 19h. Cet événement permettra aux visiteurs de rencontrer une trentaine de vignerons d'exception qui partageront leur passion et proposeront de nombreuses animations, activités ludiques et déjeuners.
