The vineyard (terroir)

The vineyard of Château Saransot-Dupré is characterised by predominantly clay-limestone soils. For the red wines, the grape varieties planted are 60% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. For the white wines, Sémillon, Muscadelle, and Sauvignon are cultivated.
