Identity

Château Tour Bel-Air is a winegrowing estate located in the commune of Saint-Martin-du-Bois. It is part of Vignobles Lascaux, owned by Fabrice Lascaux.

History and philosophy

The history of Vignobles Lascaux dates back to 1920. Fabrice and Sylvie Lascaux took over the family estate in 1998. Château Tour Bel-Air joined Vignobles Lascaux in 2007. In December 2022, Mr and Mrs Plas joined the team.

The estate is committed to environmentally friendly practices, as demonstrated by achieving Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) Level 4 certification in 2020.

The wines of Château Tour Bel-Air are produced under the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Fronsac.

Flagship wines

The main cuvée is Château Tour Bel Air, a red wine from the Fronsac appellation. The estate's wines regularly receive awards, such as Château Tour Bel Air - Fronsac 2023.

Practical information

The estate welcomes walk-in visitors from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00. Tastings are available, and group visits can be accommodated. The estate also features a reception room with a capacity of 20 people and offers self-catering cottages (gîtes). English and Spanish are spoken.

The vineyard (terroir)

The vineyard of Château Tour Bel-Air spans an area of 10 hectares. The terroir consists of clay-limestone soils. The average age of the vines is 30 years.

The grape varieties are dominated by Merlot (90%), complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon (7%) and Cabernet Franc (3%).
