History and Philosophy
Clos la Piastre was founded in 2014 by Mickaël Perret. The venture began with the purchase of a 0.60-hectare plot in the commune of Preignac. In 2018, an additional hectare in the Sauternes appellation was added to the vineyard, followed in 2019 by a 0.78-hectare parcel in the Graves appellation. The estate's aim is to craft wines that showcase the full potential of the Sauternais terroirs. Development plans include the construction of a new cellar in 2025 and the creation of unique, offbeat accommodation adjoining the cellar in 2026 as part of a dedicated wine tourism initiative.
