Identity

Vignobles Pestoury is a winegrowing estate located in Yvrac, in Gironde. The property is run by oenologist Bertrand Pestoury and his wife Isabelle Pestoury. Their eldest daughter, Marie Pestoury, is also part of the estate's team.

History and philosophy

The family vineyard of Vignobles Pestoury was established in 1892. Bertrand and Isabelle Pestoury settled on the property in 1997, the year they acquired Château Les Moulineaux. In 2004, the estate expanded with the acquisition of a plot in Saint-Émilion.

Vignobles Pestoury is committed to an approach that respects the environment and the terroir. The estate was certified organic in 2020. Vineyard practices include ploughing and the complete avoidance of chemical herbicides. In the cellar, the estate favours the use of indigenous yeasts.

Appellations

The estate produces wines under several appellations, including Cadillac-Côtes-de-Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. The principal appellation of the estate is Côtes de Bordeaux.

Winemaking and ageing

The estate favours indigenous yeasts during fermentation. The wines are aged in French oak barrels. Bottling is carried out at the property by an external specialist, using natural cork stoppers.
