THE ESTATE
A HISTORIC ESTATE IN THE GRAVES
Set on the left bank of the Garonne, in Saint-Pierre-de-Mons within the Graves appellation, Château Cazebonne covers close to 30 hectares and is one of the oldest estates in the village. Vines have thrived here since the Middle Ages on historic plots — Grand Cazebonne, Peyron, Bouché, Darche, Le Maine — and as early as the 14th century its wines were shipped from Langon to England and Northern Europe, contributing to the fame of Bordeaux claret. Gravel, sand and clay over limestone subsoils: every parcel offers a unique geological signature, between aromatic finesse and mineral depth.
DISCOVER THE ESTATETHE MAN BEHIND IT
...TAKEN OVER BY AN ENTHUSIAST
I was not born among the vines. I am not the heir of a long line of estate owners. My path lies elsewhere: I founded companies and built projects, notably the recipe website 750g.com. And yet wine caught up with me — a passion discovered as a student in Lille in the 1990s, a subject that brings the senses and knowledge together. My mind was made up: one day, I would be a winegrower.

OUR MISSION
REPLANTING THE GRAPES OF THE PAST
Before phylloxera, Bordeaux grew dozens of different grape varieties. Most disappeared in favour of a handful of them. Our mission is to replant those historic varieties, parcel after parcel, to give Bordeaux back its original complexity: Blanc Auba, Sauvignonasse, Pardotte, Castets, Mancin, Saint-Macaire, Jurançon noir — flavours forgotten for more than a century.

THREE PILLARS, ONE VISION
01
ORGANIC AND BIODYNAMIC
Certified organic and Demeter, we tend the vines to the rhythm of living soils. No herbicides, cover crops and regenerated soils, natural preparations. Biodiversity is gradually reclaiming every one of our parcels.
02
MODERN WINEMAKING
Minimal sulphites, indigenous yeasts, as few inputs as possible: the fruit must speak for itself. Gentle macerations, ageing in old barrels or amphorae to let the fruit express itself. Living, mouth-watering wines made to be enjoyed young.
03
TERROIR-DRIVEN WINES
Six distinct terroir blocks across different geological terraces, from deep gravels to starfish limestone, silty and clay soils. Each parcel brings a unique imprint to our wines.

A PIRATE BORDEAUX
GIVING BORDEAUX A NEW LEASE OF LIFE
Bordeaux is criticised. Bordeaux is under attack. Yet its reputation is unmatched. We are convinced wine lovers will come back to Bordeaux if we are willing to question ourselves: listening to our customers, understanding a fast-changing society, adapting to climate change... We are ready to take on all of these challenges, by no longer enduring, no longer complaining, and by going out to meet those who sell our wines. Naturally, from the very beginning we were among those who raised the Pirate flag as a strong signal of Bordeaux's renewal.

Today, we are bringing in our last Semillon.
Today, we are bringing in our last Semillon. As for the whites, all that will remain are our later-ripening forgotten grape varieties, which we will pick next Thursday, and then the following week. This year, we will not be harvesting Blanc Auba; it will be picked by the Chamber of Agriculture for a micro-vinification to
