History and philosophy
The history of Château La Croix Saint-Georges dates back to its ancient ownership by the Knights Hospitaller of Saint John of Jerusalem, later known as the Order of Malta. The estate joined the Famille Joseph Janoueix in 1974. The property is certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale).
The appellations
Château La Croix Saint-Georges produces wines under the Pomerol appellation. The vineyard is located between châteaux Le Pin, Petit Village, and Pétrus, on the gravel of the Pomerol high terrace.
Winemaking and ageing
In the cellar, gravity flow is used to handle the must. Wine ageing takes place in oak barrels.

Viticultural practices include parcel management, minimal chemical use, yield limitation, mechanical ploughing, and green harvesting. The harvest is carried out by hand.
