Signature cuvées
Côtes de Bordeaux Tradition
Composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, this cuvée is crafted through rigorous grape selection. Maturation in concrete vats yields a classic expression of the appellation, marked by red fruit aromas and a balanced structure.
L’Attendu Rouge
A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is made from grapes harvested at optimal ripeness. Aged for one year in one- to three-wine barrels, it displays a dense structure and vibrant fruit aromas.
L’Inattendu Rouge
Made from 20% Merlot and 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, L'Inattendu Rouge is characterised by fully ripe Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and extended extraction. Aged in new oak barrels, it develops complexity and intensity.
Solena
A 100% Merlot cuvée, Solena comes from 45-year-old parcels. The grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed by hand, before vinification in small vessels with manual punch-downs (pigeage). Two years of ageing in new 400-litre oak barrels imparts richness and aromatic depth.
Dix-Vins
A confidential cuvée produced in a limited edition of 300 bottles in 2022, this blend of 20% Merlot and 80% Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a distinctive expression of the vintage.
Hors de Clous Rouge
A 100% Merlot wine from the estate's finest parcel. Vinified in stainless steel and aged for one year in amphora, it delivers a pure, unadulterated expression of fruit.
Hors de Clous Blanc
This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is an orange wine, crafted through four weeks of skin contact. One year of ageing in amphora gives it a unique texture and aromatic profile.
Bordeaux Blanc Sec
Crafted entirely from Sauvignon Blanc, this wine benefits from an early harvest, gentle pressing, and low-temperature fermentation, delivering freshness and vitality.
L’Attendu Blanc
Harvested at full maturity, this 100% Sauvignon Blanc cuvée undergoes gentle pressing followed by fermentation in 400-litre barrels, bringing roundness and complexity.
Bordeaux Rosé
A blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, this rosé is produced from early-harvested grapes with light maceration and low-temperature fermentation, preserving its crisp freshness and delicate fruit notes.
Vinification and ageing
Winemaking techniques at Château Petit Guillot are tailored to each cuvée. Harvesting is predominantly mechanical to ensure speed and preserve grape freshness, supplemented by manual sorting at the cellar. Select cuvées benefit from manual destemming and small-batch vinification with pigeage. Fermentation takes place either in concrete vats or oak barrels.
Ageing methods are equally varied: some cuvées mature in concrete tanks, others in new or used oak barrels, while specific cuvées are aged in amphorae, lending distinctive aromatic and textural dimensions to the wines.
