History and philosophy
Founded in 1759, Château Laffitte Carcasset is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Estèphe. The property's history was shaped by Jean Laffitte, a court advocate and prosecutor to King Louis XVI in Bordeaux, who gave it his name in 1781. The vineyard was established that same year, and the estate has borne its definitive name since 1929. Classified as a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 1932, it is today a Cru Bourgeois. Producing wine since 1781, the estate came under the ownership of Eden Villages in 2017. Château Laffitte Carcasset boasts more than two centuries of winemaking heritage and is described as a family cru. In 2021, the estate reopened to the public.
