Our Darche block is surrounded by housing developments, a continuous expansion of the commune of Saint-Pierre de Mons

The unique feature of the terroirs here is that the asteriated limestone slab is not very deep underground. On the two fallow parcels, right at the bottom, we have replanted Carménère, Petit Verdot, Castets and Bouchalès. In some places, the bedrock is so close to the surface that we were unable to drive some of the trellising posts all the way in.
