The time has now come to de-ridge the young Sauvignon and Merlot vines with the horse

We prefer using the horse around young vines. This allows us to be more precise and cut away in the process any vine roots that had the bad idea of trying to develop near the surface. We want the vines to root deeply and we do whatever it takes to achieve that.
Conditions are ideal with soils that are damp, but not too wet, and the sun will finish off the weeds we have turned over.
