Bringing in our last Semillon today

Today we are bringing in our last Semillon. For the whites, all that remains are our later-ripening forgotten grape varieties, which we will harvest next Thursday, and then the following week. This year, we will not be harvesting Blanc Auba; it will be picked by the Chamber of Agriculture for micro-vinification as part of the work towards its registration in the official grape variety catalogue. Now, time for the reds: we begin early next week with a planting of Merlot that has suffered greatly from the drought. We have nothing to gain by waiting on this parcel.
