We continue with the presentation of our cuvées

On our Darche plot, the one closest to the Garonne (and the lowest in altitude), the asteriated limestone bedrock (the same geological layer as Saint-Emilion) outcrops between 1 and 3 metres deep. Merlot thrives on this plot with its unique terroir of gravels lying directly on the limestone layer.
We aged the wine in amphorae for 5 months, favouring fairly permeable terracotta. Oxygen transformed this wine, smoothing the tannins and enhancing the fruit. An absolute treat.
The only downside: we lost more than 20% of the volume during ageing, the amphorae drank so much!
