With the harvest barely over, Bruno is busy sowing cover crops
Vetch, oats, fodder radish... which will provide their share of nitrogen and carbon in the spring.
This is our fourth winter of cover crops, and the results are already noticeable in the soils. More alive, more supple, with humus levels rising, slowly but surely.
