Le Malbec 2022, Amphora-aged Malbec

This cuvée comes from our old vine parcel in Peyron (40 years old). Hand-harvested on 26th September, destemmed, then natural yeast fermentation. Gentle pump-overs for soft extraction. Run off after two weeks.

Aged in sandstone amphorae for one year. Bottled end of October 2023.

88/100 in the April 2024 Revue du Vin de France ' Little colour but an exuberant, playful, mentholated aromatic character, true to the grape variety. A crisp, crunchy wine, offering freshness and immediacy.'
