Following pruning, the Saint-Macaire is weeping
The sap is rising again; the countdown to budburst has begun. We just hope that temperatures will not rise too quickly in March, so as to avoid the early April frosts that proved fatal to us last year.
Saint-Macaire is an early-budding grape variety, which makes it particularly vulnerable to frost.
