I had the great honour, this weekend, of being invited to the Chapitre des Trois Glorieuses, held at Château du Clos de Vougeot this Saturday

Every year, on the third weekend of November, Burgundy celebrates with three events: the Chapitre du Clos de Vougeot, the famous Hospices de Beaune wine auction, and the Paulée de Meursault.
An exceptional evening that magnifies the wines of Burgundy, rooting them deeply in their history and traditions. In an era of globalisation, Burgundy adopted an inimitable positioning ahead of everyone else. Who in the world could copy these eight centuries of history, this work on identifying terroirs? And to crown it all, the enthronement ceremony builds loyalty and expresses gratitude to all of Burgundy's ambassadors across the globe. This brotherhood boasts 12,000 members who champion the values of Burgundy throughout the world.
Bordeaux certainly has its brotherhoods, but here, the folklore rings true because it is embodied by its winegrowers.
Inspiring in every respect. Bordeaux has neglected the notion of terroir in favour of the brand (the Château). At Cazebonne, we are convinced that the future of Bordeaux lies in restoring value to its diverse terroirs of equally exceptional quality.
