Mérille is surprising us on the eve of harvest
It was one of the first to suffer from sunscald on these young vines.
Yet at this stage, the berries are large and well-plumped, whereas on other grape varieties the berries have remained stubbornly small, sometimes even shrivelled.
Every grape variety behaves differently when faced with climatic conditions. It is simply fascinating to observe!
