Grape variety profile

Let's start with Jurançon noir. It is a magnificent grape variety with an upright growth habit, easy to trellis. It produces beautiful bunches, regular and well-spaced, which will allow for a lovely cordon of grape clusters. Ultimately, it is relatively disease-resistant. It is a relatively vigorous variety with attractive foliage. To obtain quality grapes, the crop load must be kept reasonable, and some bunches may need to be thinned out in July. Finally, and not the least of its qualities, it withstands frost well thanks to fruitful secondary buds. All in all, a wealth of qualities for this so-called modest grape variety.
