Holiday reading

This book has been on my bedside table for a few weeks now. I have found it hard to open. Because it tells the story of Laure Gasparotto, a born winegrower, who threw in the towel after 4 years spent in the vineyard, in the Terrasses du Larzac.
Not easy to read this story for the new winegrower that I am, also torn between my Parisian family and my Gironde vines.
Laure recounts, unvarnished, her initial setup, her supporters, her setbacks, her joys, the time needed to care for the vines, the time to make the wine, the time to sell it.
In the end, a truly fine adventure, pushed right to its limits. A magnificent personal account that, far from discouraging us, inspires us to take our own adventure even further. She writes that it takes ten years for an estate to start turning a profit. We can only agree that she is right, and we are already halfway there at Cazebonne, since 2017.
