It feels strange to receive equipment we ordered for the harvest (a destemmer and a pump), when we will have no harvest this year
The insurance assessor visited yesterday and confirmed that the estate has suffered 100% hail damage.
We will try to salvage a few bunches to make a few bottles in 2018, if we manage to ripen what remains, and that is far from guaranteed.
