Our cover crop sowings have got off to a great start this year

Immediately after harvesting each plot, we sowed.
This allows us to benefit from the last warm days and warm soil. As a result, the cover crops establish themselves as well as possible before winter, which will enable us to roll them in due time in the spring. In 2017, we sowed rather late, to our regret. Since then, we sow as early as possible, between mid-September and mid-October.
On the left, heritage wheat sown on our Peyron plateau. On the right, field beans sown to provide nitrogen and decompact the soil. On each plot, we try to tailor our sowings to the needs of the parcel.
