The other day I was listening to a Wine Makers Show podcast interviewing the ampelographer Olivier Yobregat, an eminent specialist in grape varieties of the South West

At the end of the interview, he recommended reading this little book from 1961. In sixty years, this book hasn’t aged a bit and is remarkably modern.
It covers soil management (cover crops, humus replenishment), vineyard management (notably the analysis of Lenz Moser's work), work on grape varieties (massal selection), the analysis of vine diseases...
This book is of great erudition and intelligence. Thank you Olivier for this reading recommendation. Much to digest in order to challenge our current practices and meet the challenges that lie ahead.
