The Pirates had the pleasure of being received at midday today by Pierre Hurmic, Mayor of Bordeaux

He honoured us with a warm welcoming speech showing his commitment to a multifaceted, committed Bordeaux wine that has begun its journey to reconnect with all of its audiences. At the start of the year, the CIVB launched its ‘Bordeaux, join the crew’ campaign. More than ever, all driving forces will be needed to win back the hearts of wine lovers who have turned away from Bordeaux. Bordeaux Pirate is one of the embodiments of the Bordeaux revival. A Bordeaux that innovates, exploring new avenues. In his speech, Pierre Hurmic noted that the word ‘pirate’ could hold many meanings, but that he preferred to retain that of adventurer — the adventurers of a new taste!
