This year, we are not ahead of schedule

The earliest grape varieties are starting to emerge from the wool (here on young Merlot vines).
We must be about a week behind compared to last year. And things are unlikely to speed up straight away, as cool temperatures are forecast for the coming days.
In 2021, the frosts of 8–10 April devastated the harvest. This year, we should avoid these early frosts.
However, April can still hold unpleasant surprises. So we will wait patiently and hope that the weather leaves us in peace on that front this year.
