Top-grafting and the fact that we left only a single cane to maintain sap flow means that the vine regularly sends out suckers
We therefore have to go over all the vines every week to desucker, that is to say cut away these shoots. We want the vine to concentrate all its sap into the graft and thus ensure the best possible success for the top-grafting of this plot.
