We are setting out the compost heaps while waiting for the soils to dry after the November rains
Today, we cannot spread it; impossible to get into the vineyards with the tractor. Ten days or so of fine weather and all will be well.
Our track serves as our barometer. As long as puddles remain, there is no point trying to get into the vineyards. Our Graves soils drain quickly, but 350mm of rain is quite a lot all the same.
