Bordeaux Pirate restocks the City Hall cellar
By Daniel Bozec

A parade of black skull-and-crossbones T-shirts beneath the grand chandelier of the hall of honour around Pierre Hurmic. Winemakers under the 'Bordeaux Pirate' banner took over Bordeaux City Hall yesterday, bringing with them some 72 cuvées destined for the city hall cellar. A public relations initiative for these winegrowers eager to break the traditional Bordeaux mould, their young label combining organic wines, an intentional touch of unconventionality, and quality—earning the Bordeaux Pirate label is put back on the line with every vintage, following consumer tastings.
