Gironde: who is Jean-Baptiste Duquesne, this pirate shaking up the Bordeaux vineyard

It is under a lovely blue sky that the discreet sign for Château Cazebonne appears, an estate situated in the terroir of Graves at Saint-Pierre-de-Mons. An encounter in the heart of the vineyard with Jean-Baptiste Duquesne, owner of the estate and founder of the 'Bordeaux Pirate' movement. In 2016, he acquired the wine estate of Château Cazebonne with the whim of making the Bordeaux vineyards appealing through biodynamics and forgotten grape varieties.
