A whole year’s work can be ruined by a hailstorm

That was our greatest fear this year. Hailstones measuring half a centimetre fell on our plots in Darche, Bouché, Peyron and Peyrous. It is difficult to assess the damage at this stage. The leaves are damaged, but still there, and the grape bunches have taken a few hits. Now, we must save what we can, help the vines heal, starting first thing tomorrow morning, to prevent downy mildew from taking what remains of our harvest. Fed up.
