We really don't like this at all

Downy mildew has well and truly arrived, ten days after last week's rains. We are paying the price for not being able to spray, due to the rain and impassable soils.
We had hoped that the fine weather over the last few days would allow us to avoid infection.
This morning, we are spraying. We must prevent any further spread. Especially during this flowering period, downy mildew must not reach the grape bunches, otherwise the harvest is lost.
On our Darche parcel, at a rough estimate, 15% of the vines show spots. On the other parcels, just a few leaves here and there, and on Merlot only.
But it can spread very quickly to the Cabernet Franc, the Malbecs, the Sauvignons...
Vigilance is key. It is going to be a long haul until veraison.
