Our rosé is out

We had wanted to make one for a long time, but not just in any old way. On the one hand, I cannot stand this trend for Provence rosés, devoid of vices or virtues. On the other hand, making a vinous, deeply coloured rosé is not my cup of tea either.
So each year, we abandoned the project and put it off until later. It must be said that recent years have been particularly sunny, and I could not find the raw material to make a rosé to my taste (and yes, in the end, we make wines to our own taste, and all the better if our customers enjoy them too!).
2021 in Bordeaux was a vintage that made it possible to produce rosé: acidity, fruit, and a moderate alcohol level (11.5% for this cuvée).
We decided to make a Malbec rosé. Truth be told, it would have been difficult to push them any further, as grey rot was beginning to rear its head.
We harvested and pressed immediately. Then fermentation in vats. At the blending stage, we added 15% Sauvignon Blanc, which gave it lovely aromatic notes.
The result has lived up to expectations, at least to our taste. Low alcohol, lovely freshness—it makes you want to sip the whole bottle!
Yum!
