Ideally, this is the stage at which these cover crops should be rolled to supply maximum nitrogen, but the heritage wheat, sown at the same time, hasn't grown as quickly. We are counting on its straw to provide carbon. We will find the right compromise, probably towards the end of March, to roll all of this and prepare a mulch for the summer.
