This year, we planted ungrafted rootstocks directly as infill along rows of forgotten grape varieties

This will allow us to top-graft the desired grape varieties directly in the vineyard in two years' time. We will test and most likely roll out this practice across the estate over the coming years. We are testing six high-quality rootstock varieties suited to our soils.
