We went back to taste Liber Pater’s 2018 vintage to see how it is shaping up now that fermentations are complete
The Cabernet Sauvignons are impressive, pure velvet. The Petit Verdots are powerful with vegetal notes without being herbaceous. They will be interesting in the blend. The Castets are tannic, a little austere, and still need time to integrate. We were unable to re-taste the superb Mancin and Saint-Macaire, which have already been blended.
